B2 The imperfect subjunctive
advertisement
The imperfect subjunctive is the past form of the subjunctive. It’s used for hypotheticals, after past-tense triggers, and to be extra polite.
How to form it
Take the ellos form of the preterite, drop -ron, and add -ra endings (an -se set also exists and is interchangeable).
