B2 Relative pronouns (que, quien, cuyo)
advertisement
Relative pronouns connect two ideas about the same noun. Que is by far the most common (for people and things).
| El chico que vino es mi primo. | The boy who came is my cousin. |
| La casa que compré es grande. | The house that I bought is big. |
| La mujer con quien hablé… | The woman with whom I spoke… |
| El autor cuyo libro leí… | The author whose book I read… |
Use quien(es) after a preposition for people; cuyo/a/os/as means “whose” and agrees with the thing possessed, not the owner.
